Considering stone veneer? Start with these questions

Stone veneer starts with the location and the product system. Bring a reference photo, the dimensions, and a few project details before choosing a finish.

Where will the material be used?

Describe the exact location: an interior feature wall, an entry, a commercial space, or an exterior application. Note any exposure to weather, water, or heat. Each use needs product-specific confirmation; one stone-look surface is not automatically interchangeable with another.

For a fireplace or another heat-exposed location, have the installer review the material documentation and the appliance or assembly requirements. Appearance alone is not evidence that a product is suitable.

What is the product actually made from?

Stone veneer is a broad description. Ask for the manufacturer, product name, composition, dimensions, thickness, and supporting documents for the exact option being discussed. Confirm whether the finish you like is a natural-stone product, a manufactured product, or a different decorative surface.

Ask about sample availability. Review the surface, edges, color variation, and panel or piece format. Keep the sample identification with your project notes so the final inquiry refers to the same material.

What needs to be included in the material plan?

Share the wall dimensions and photographs of corners, openings, returns, and other details. Ask your independent installer to confirm the substrate, fixing or adhesive system, layout, quantities, and any required accessories.

When you need additional material for an existing project, include the original product and batch information if available. Ask our team to check the current options before assuming an exact match.

What should you send our team?

A clear reference helps move the conversation forward. Vegas Home Supply supplies materials and can discuss available options; installation is handled by your independent installer.

  • A photo showing the finish or texture you have in mind
  • The intended location and whether it is indoors or outdoors
  • Dimensions, corners, and approximate material area
